The Annual Canadian Echo Weekend is designed around your needs and requests over the past seventeen meetings. We will focus on common clinical problems encountered in your practice and the important role that echocardiography plays in diagnosis and patient management. Novel and evolving technologies to enhance your diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care will be highlighted.
In addition to top-notched Canadian speakers, this year’s guest speakers include Dr. Gilbert Habib, President of European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) who will present on Infective Endocarditis: A Changing Disease and Dr. Vera Rigolin, Vice President of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) will be presenting on Appropriate Use vs. Clinical Indications.
We are excited to bring to you this year a new 3D Echocardiography Made Simple – A Hands-On computer analysis workshop. These ticketed workshops will review 3D cropping methods and currently available LV and mitral valve analysis packages on specific platforms. We have recruited Drs. Igal Sebag and Wendy Tsang to lead these sessions using equipment from GE and Philips. The sessions are limited to 10 people each to allow sufficient interaction and support.
News: The program is now accredited by both Canadian Cardiovascular Society(CCS) for 15 credits ( Section 1 Royal Collage MOC ) and Sonography Canada for 15 CME credits.
“This event is an accredited group learning activity under Section 1 as defined by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada for the Maintenance of Certification program. This program is approved by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society for a maximum of 15 credits.”
