CSE Travel Bursary Research Award Winners 2015

The CSE Travel Bursary Research Award is given annually to a trainee or sonographer to attend Congress in order to present original research findings. We have two recipients this year who were selected by peer review for their contributions to high quality research relevant to echocardiography.

The second annual CSE Travel Bursary Research Award to Dr Kevin Boczar and Dr Abdellaziz Dahou. The award was presented during the CCS Award Ceremony that took place on 25 Oct 2015

Dr Boczar is a past Have a Heart Bursary winner and a current internal medicine trainee at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is the principle investigator for a project on right heart function in breast cancer patients undergoing anthracycline-based chemotherapy.

Dr Dahou is completing an echocardiography fellowship at the University of Laval. He will present an abstract on the impact of aortic valve replacement on left ventricular remodeling and function.
