Question
Are there any regulations regarding the time to keep the echo images – tapes or digital storage? Our company is not an IHF.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Answer
The regulation according to CPSO is that clinical records need to be kept for 10 years.
For pediatric cases, it is 10 years after the patient turns 18.
Echo is a clinical record and guided by the same rule.
